WeWoreWhat’s Danielle Bernstein Teams Up With Imprint To Launch Rewards Card
Danielle Bernstein, the mega influencer behind fashion blog and brand WeWoreWhat, has teamed up with payment and rewards platform Imprint to launch a new rewards card.
The card offering gives cardholders access to 10% cashback for shopping at WeWoreWhat, 5% at partner brands and 1% everywhere else. Rewards are available immediately and are redeemable interchangeably across partner brands. Additionally, cardholders get access to a list of curated restaurants and shops.
“WeWoreWhat is always looking for new ways to give our community innovative value, benefits and experiences. This exciting collaboration with Imprint felt like the natural next step for WeWoreWhat, our community, and our brand partners,” said Bernstein.
“I love that we will not only reward WeWoreWhat’s loyal customers but also provide them exclusive benefits across all of the brands and restaurants that are a part of my daily life.”
Shoppers looking to sign up for the card can do so by downloading the Imprint App, connecting their bank account, and can immediately use the card everywhere Visa is accepted with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Signing up has no impact on credit scores.
Bernstein is not the first time social media influencer to have introduced such an offering. The Kardashians also once dabbled in a prepaid offering with Mastercard called the Kardashian Kard, but it never took off due to its high fees.
Bernstein is a native New Yorker and entrepreneur with a dedicated fan base of over three million followers across her social media platforms. She started WeWoreWhat in 2010 and later went on to launch her brand, Shop WeWoreWhat. She made Forbes’ “30 Under 30” but has a troubled history of allegedly stealing designs and threatening small business owners who have tried to fight back.
In 2018, Bernstein was accused of copying various jewelry lines after she released a collaboration with Lulu DK. Diet Prada, an Instagram account dedicated to calling out influencers and individuals in the fashion world, pointed out that Bernstein cherry-picked designs from other lines. More recently, small business owners, The Great Eros and Foundrae, have both accused Bernstein of copying their designs. In response to the backlash, Bernstein posted a tearful video on her Instagram stories, insisting that the inspiration for the line came from her late grandfather instead of other brands.
