Walgreens Launches 24-Hour Delivery Service — Retail Bum
Walgreens is launching a 24-hour delivery service at nearly 400 store locations across the country.
The service will enable shoppers within a range of participating stores to order products such as groceries, over-the-counter medications, personal care items, and household products round-the-clock, seven days a week.
“Walgreens knows that taking care of health and wellbeing isn’t exclusive to business hours and that needs can pop up at any time of day — that’s why we’re always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience with convenient and trusted solutions,” said Stefanie Kruse, group vice president of digital commerce at Walgreens.
“As the place customers turn to for their last-minute needs, we know they will find value in being able to access the items they need most, no matter the hour, right to their door.”
To celebrate the launch of the service, the company is offering its customers free delivery on orders valued at more than $20 with code NOW20 through December 10, 2022.
The new offering builds on the company’s existing same-day delivery service, which it launched in June 2021 in collaboration with DoorDash. The company also has partnerships in place with Shipt, Uber, Instacart, and Postmates.
The Deerfield, IL-based retailer currently operates more than 9,000 store locations in the mainland U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands.
