Victoria’s Secret CEO Amy Hauk Steps Down — Retail Bum
Victoria’s Secret CEO Amy Hauk will be leaving her position on March 31, 2023, the company’s filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday revealed.
Hauk’s decision to leave the lingerie brand comes just six months after she was appointed as the CEO as part of a restructuring effort, which saw several leadership changes and the elimination of 160 roles. Hauk has also been serving as the chief executive of PINK since 2018.
“Yesterday, we shared in our 8-K filing that Amy Hauk will be stepping down as CEO of Victoria’s Secret and PINK in order to spend more time with her family in Florida,” a company spokesperson said.
“Amy has graciously agreed to a managed transition between now and the end of March. There are no plans to replace her role.””Amy has graciously agreed to a managed transition between now and the end of March. There are no plans to replace her role.”
Martin Waters, who has been serving as the chief executive of the broader Victoria’s Secret & Co business since February 2021, will be taking over Hauk’s position.
In 2021, Victoria’s Secret separated itself from L Brands and became an independent company. L Brands had previously held talks with multiple interested buyers and received bids valued at more than $3 billion. Still, they concluded that the spinning of Victoria’s Secret would bring more value to the company’s shareholders than a sale.
