Tyson Foods CFO Arrested For Public Intoxication And Trespassing — Retail Bum
Tyson Foods’ Chief Financial Officer John Tyson, 32, was arrested and booked in Arkansas Washington County jail for public intoxication and falling asleep in the wrong house.
According to local television station KNWA/Fox24, a woman who did not know Tyson allegedly found her home’s front door unlocked and him asleep in her bed around 2 am, which led her to call the police.
The police report shows that Tyson’s breath smelled of alcohol, and he could not verbally respond to the police. He was later released the same day on bond.
“I am embarrassed for personal conduct that is inconsistent with my personal values, the company’s values and the high expectations we hold for each other here at Tyson Foods,” Tyson said in a statement.
Tyson was appointed as the finance chief in September 2022 after joining his family business in 2019. Previously, he worked in investment banking, private equity, and venture capital. He is the son of John H. Tyson, the company’s chairman, and the great-grandson of founder John W. Tyson.
The news follows the arrest of Beyond Meat’s Chief Operating Officer Doug Ramsey. He was charged with terroristic threatening and third-degree battery and booked in the Washington County jail for allegedly biting a man’s nose.
