Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand SKIMS is preparing to open its first permanent stores in the upcoming year.

The move marks a significant step for the direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand as it looks to strategically grow its business in both local and global retail markets.

During the first half of 2024, SKIMS will debut its flagship store in Los Angeles, followed by another opening in New York. The Los Angeles boutique will span 5,000 square feet store on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.

Overall, SKIMS is looking to open at least four stores in the upcoming year and is actively exploring locations in domestic markets renowned for attracting regional tourists, including Atlanta, Dallas, and Miami.

Introduced initially as a DTC venture in 2019, SKIMS has made significant strides in expanding the brand’s physical retail presence by collaborating with prestigious department stores like Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue. Furthermore, SKIMS has recently embraced the concept of pop-up stores, establishing a presence in locations such as London’s Selfridges department store, as well as New York’s Rockefeller Center.
