Skims Introduces a Modern Twist on the Classic Pushup Bra — Retail Bum
Skims, the underwear brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian, has unveiled a pushup bra that it touts as revolutionary for its use of advanced scanning technology.
Dubbed the “Ultimate Bra,” the lingerie piece was crafted utilizing methods such as 3D scans of a diverse array of body shapes. Unlike the traditional single foam pad approach of pushup bras, the new Skims bra uses contoured foam cushions to achieve a natural teardrop contour.
Insights from the 3D scans, which helped achieve ideal foam distribution for optimal comfort and shape, were paired with in-person testing to optimize the new bra further.
“We also went through multiple rounds of fittings on myself and other women to perfect the shape and construction even further,” Kardashian said.
In an official statement, the company, which has recently been appraised at a staggering $4 billion, highlighted that the seamless aesthetics, discreet underwire, and smoothing technology all contribute to an elevated level of comfort and wearability.
Best known for its solutions-driven approach, the brand is celebrated for embracing a broad spectrum of colors and sizes, ranging from 32A to 44D, to meet the needs of diverse body types. The bra will remain solely accessible through Skims’ official website and will be priced at $58.
