Six Flags Prepares for Summer with Amazon’s Just Walk Out — Retail Bum
Six Flags is set to launch Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology at a handful of chosen venues to lower customer wait times for food and beverage purchases within its theme parks.
In the upcoming month, Six Flags plans to initiate a soft launch of Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology at its New Jersey theme park, scheduled for June 1, 2023. If the initial implementation proves successful, a comparable expansion of the technology will be considered for the Six Flags Magic Mountain site in Los Angeles.
“I don’t want to give the impression we’re going to put them in every single park because, obviously, if they don’t perform well, we won’t continue to expand. But the hope is that these become really successful across our parks, and then yes, we would look to expand this, sort of given the success of this, across all of our parks as well,” said Stephanie Borges, Global Vice President of Strategic Marketing & Partnerships at Six Flags Entertainment.
