Target’s delivery service Shipt is expanding its services to hospitality brands across the United States.

The company has struck partnerships with several hospitality firms, including InTown and Uptown Suites, Mainsail Lodging and Development, RCI and Stay Sojo, to meet customers’ needs. According to Shipt’s research, a significant share of guests feel the need for easy access to delivery of food and essential products when they are staying in an unfamiliar area or adjusting to life in a new city for an extended period.

The partnership extends Shipt membership to customers and residents staying at more than 1,000 partner properties, enabling them to order fresh food and household and wellness products through a co-branded landing page.

“Shipt is here to support customers no matter where they are,” said Alex Ross, vice president of business development at Shipt. “With this exciting expansion into the hospitality industry, Shipt is excited to bring personalized and high-quality delivery solutions to thousands of new customers.”

Shipt’s partnership comes on the heels of its recent efforts to revamp its service. Last year, the company enabled a universal search functionality that allows users to look up product availability across a range of retailers and made several adjustments to its website, allowing users to build multiple carts and access inspirational content.

Additionally, the company streamlined its pickup process by sharing customers’ names with retailers for easier handoff and package scanning on pickup, among other things.
