Scotch & Soda To Open 20 International Stores

Dutch fashion brand Scotch & Soda is planning to grow its international footprint with the opening of 20 new retail store locations over the next six months, the company announced.

Milan and London will be two of the new locations where the company plans to open flagship stores, which will be the company’s largest stores outside of the Netherlands. Some of the other locations will be either directly operated or franchise-owned in cities like Beijing, Boston, Cairo, Dubai, Johannesburg, Tel Aviv and Washington DC.

Additionally, the company will continue to rebrand and refit stores with its “Free Spirit” design concept, which was first unveiled last year. The concept takes inspiration from the free-spiritedness of the brand’s home city of Amsterdam and highlights the use of warm colors and sleek design elements, including sustainable features such as LED lighting, FSC-certified wood herringbone flooring, and new hangers made of recycled materials.

The company’s effort to open new stores and rebrand existing locations comes at a time when it is working to deliver a unified online and in-store shopping experience across all its stores in 2022. It utilizes RFID technology to better assess its inventory levels and offers a smoother shopping experience.

Scotch & Soda currently counts 50 stores in North America, six of which are located in Canada.
