Rite Aid Rolls Out Revamped Digital-First Loyalty Program
Rite Aid has announced the rollout of its new loyalty and rewards program to better cater to the digital-first needs of shoppers.
The new Rite Aid Rewards program replaces the company’s previous version, enabling members to earn points on not only everyday purchases, but also on prescription pickups. The program will also unlock access to members-only discounts and provide access to personalized challenges.
Members will earn 10 points for every $1 spent on most of their purchases. Once members have accumulated 1,000 points, they can redeem them for $2 Rite Aid Rewards BonusCash during checkout. They will also have the option to track and convert their points through the pharmacy retailer’s mobile app and website.
Rite Aid’s existing loyalty program members will automatically be enrolled in the company’s new program.
“The Rite Aid Rewards program reflects our customers’ desire for a simpler program with more ways to earn and save,” said Erik Keptner, Rite Aid’s chief marketing and merchandising officer. “We moved from a tiered program to a points-based program that allows more customers to earn rewards. And as a digital-first program, customer preferences will guide personalized offers and challenges, providing them with engaging experiences online or in the app.”
The Camp Hill, Pennsylvania-based retailer, currently operates more than 2,450 retail pharmacy locations across 17 states.
