Moschino Appoints Gucci Veteran Designer as New Creative Director — Retail Bum
Moschino has hired Gucci veteran David Renne to take over the creative reigns following the departure of Jeremy Scott, parent company Aeffe revealed.
Renee brings two decades of experience leading Gucci’s womenswear division. As the creative director of Moschino, he will oversee the brand’s womenswear, menswear, and accessories business and will debut his first collection at the Milan Fashion Week in February 2024.
“Franco Moschino had nicknamed his studio ‘the games room.’ It’s like this: what fashion — especially Italian fashion, and the Maison Moschino first and foremost — can achieve with its influence should always be done with a sense of play, of joy. A sense of discovery and experimentation,” Renne said.
At Moschino, Renne will be reporting directly to Aeffe’s Executive President, Massimo Ferretti.
