Manolo Blahnik Appoints New Chief Commercial Officer — Retail Bum

Luxury footwear brand Manolo Blahnik has hired Elodie Bougenault as its new chief commercial officer with the goal of scaling up its business in the Asia Pacific region.

Bougenault joins the brand from the lingerie brand La Perla, where she oversaw global retail operations and served as the managing director of EMEA. Before that, she worked as the Asia Pacific managing director at luxury jeweler and watchmaker Boucheron in Hong Kong. She also previously held various senior roles with brands such as Kate Spade and Marc Jacobs.

In her role, she will be charged with executing the brand’s global commercial strategy across digital, retail, and wholesale. She will also serve as a strong voice in existing and new markets, primarily focusing on Asia.

“[Bougenault’s] knowledge of the Asia market will help us explore and plan the exciting new opportunities that winning our 22-year IP court case in the Supreme People’s Court of China last year has opened up,” said Kristina Blahnik, CEO of Manolo Blahnik.

She replaces Andrew Wright, Manolo Blahnik’s current chief commercial officer, who has also been serving as the brand’s president of the Americas since 2019.
