Manolo Blahnik And Birkenstock Team Up For Collaboration

Manolo Blahnik and Birkenstock have confirmed an upcoming collaboration that will include seven footwear pieces, ranging from $750 to $810.

“Birkenstocks are for life. And for good reason — you have them for life,” said Kristina Blahnik, CEO of the namesake brand, during an interview at Birkenstock 1774’s Rue Saint Honoré showroom during Paris Fashion Week.

The Birkenstock 1774 collection will be receiving the Sex and the City treatment, as it seemingly takes cues from Sarah Jessica Parker’s coveted blue Manolos with the brand’s iconic crystal-embellished buckle. According to released pictures, Birkenstock’s popular Arizona and Boston will also be a part of the collection.

The collection is expected to drop in a series of two rollouts, with the first one expected on March 24, 2022, on 1774.com and Manoloblahnik.com. It will also be stocked in all Manolo Blahnik stores and at some other select retailers. This collection drop will include the blue velvet Boston and Arizona. The second collection drop will consist of a series of black leather and fuchsia velvet iterations. While there are no additional details on the pieces that will be a part of the second drop, the collection will be available in June 2022.

The Manolo Blahnik x Birkenstock collection follows previous collaborations by the brand, including those with Dior and Jil Sander.
