Lululemon is taking its Like New program nationwide just a year after launching the resale offering.

Beginning April 22, 2022, lululemon Like New products will be available across all participating U.S. stores. The expansion of the program follows a two-state pilot that was held in 2021.

“Bringing Lululemon Like New to all U.S. guests is a major step toward a circular eco-system and achieving our Impact Agenda goals to reduce our environmental footprint,” said Celeste Burgoyne, Americas and global guest innovation president at lululemon.

“We’ve seen incredible momentum from our pilot program, and we look forward to welcoming new guests nationwide.”

The program will allow lululemon to reduce the carbon footprint of its products by up to 50% and around 310 grams of waste. Any profits from the initiative will be used to further support the company’s Impact Agenda, which includes making 100% of its products with sustainable materials and end-of-use solutions by 2030.

Through the new initiative, the company aims to extend the life of its products by encouraging consumers to trade in gently used lululemon clothing in-store or by mail in exchange for a lululemon e-gift card.

To bring the program to life, the athleisure wear company has partnered with Trove. Any gear that fails to meet quality standards will be recycled through reverse logistics company, Debrand.
