Kim Kardashian Enlists Former Apple and Burberry Executive to Elevate Private-Equity Venture — Retail Bum
Reality TV star-turned-business magnate Kim Kardashian has chosen former Apple retail leader Angela Ahrendts for a significant role within her private equity company, SKKY Partners.
At the age of 63, Ahrendts is set to take on the role of senior operating advisor at SKKY, a firm spearheaded by Kardashian that concentrates on investments spanning consumer products, eCommerce, media, and entertainment.
Last autumn, the co-founder of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” together with former Carlyle executive Jay Sammons, established the firm.
“As we continue to expand SKKY Partners and focus on identifying strategic investment opportunities for the firm, it was the perfect time to have Angela join us,” Kardashian said in a statement. “Angela’s wealth of leadership experience and deep understanding of building brands and influencing culture makes her a natural fit for the firm,” she added.
Ahrendts held a position of significant influence at Apple and is credited with leading the company’s retail store expansion efforts. She was also among the highest-paid executives at Apple.
