J.Crew Launches App Granting Shoppers a 48-Hour Fashion Frontier — Retail Bum
Building on the success of the J.Crew Passport, the brand’s loyalty program introduced in August 2022, J.Crew is now venturing into the realm of mobile commerce with the launch of its new shopping app.
The newly launched app unveiled on Monday draws inspiration from the shopping habits of the retailer’s customers, according to J.Crew’s CMO Derek Yarbrough.
According to Yarbrough, more than two-thirds of J.Crew’s online store traffic originated from mobile devices last year, which highlighted an opportunity for the brand to meet consumers’ growing preference for mobile shopping.
The new app offers expedited checkout, tailored product suggestions, and a 48-hour preview period for new releases and partnerships. This exclusive window allows users to access and purchase upcoming collections prior to their availability on the website and in physical stores.
Yarbrough emphasized the significance of incorporating J.Crew’s loyalty programs into the brand’s mobile strategy.
