Ganni Appoints First Chief Brand Officer — Retail Bum
Danish fashion brand Ganni has appointed Priya Matadeen as its first chief brand officer.
“Priya will be a very exciting new addition to the Ganni executive team bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge from the creative realms of fashion and youth culture to the table. We have been searching tirelessly for a profile with the right capabilities to lead our growing brand and creative needs,” said Andrea Baldo, chief executive at Ganni.
In her position, Matadeen is expected to create synergy across brand activities on a global scale. Furthermore, she will accelerate localization efforts and work closely with Ganni’s Creative Director, Ditte Reffstrup, to help drive global brand strategy.
Before joining Ganni, Matadeen served as managing director for Dazed Media. She has previously also worked for agencies and media firms, including Vogue, Vice/Virtue, Wieden, and Kennedy, where she was recognized for her efforts with clients such as Gucci, Versace, Chanel, and Nike.
“I am so proud to be joining the wonderful team at Ganni at this seminal time in the brand’s journey,” said Matadeen.
“I am excited to work to define the brand further as Ganni expands globally, and look forward to collaborating with current and new communities to further enhance the Ganni world.”
Matadeen’s appointment will become effective on January 4, 2023.
