‘Dr. Seuss’ and Adidas Team Up For Collaboration — Retail Bum
Adidas is looking to get into the holiday spirit in a very interesting way — by teaming up with Dr. Seuss’ Grinch to create a pair of sneakers.
While the collaboration is not exactly groundbreaking, it is still a fun and exciting take on celebrating the holiday season. Nike first started this trend in 2010 with the late Kobe Bryant when they launched the Kobe 6 “Grinch“ colorway.
Adidas’ new pair of sneakers feature two shades of shaggy suede greens that emulate the character’s fur, while the tongue features the Grinch’s evil eyes on the right shoe and the classic trefoil on the left. Additionally, the insoles of the sneaker highlight actual imagery of The Grinch dressed in Santa-inspired attire.
Removable pins showing The Grinch’s various facial expressions, gifts, and his sidekick Max can be used to accessorize the pair of sneakers. The shoes come in a red shoe box that showcases the character’s hand with a dangling adidas-branded ornament.
The sneakers are expected to become available starting on December 1, 2022, at adidas and other select retailers.
