Domino’s Upgrades Delivery Service With Order Anywhere Functionality — Retail Bum

Domino’s wants its customers to be able to order pizza, whether they are relaxing in a park or on the beach or enjoying a game by a baseball field.

The company is rolling out a “Pinpoint Delivery” option, enabling its customers to receive their orders nearly everywhere by simply dropping a pin at their location inside the Domino’s app.

The new service requires customers to place a mobile order and pre-pay for it and agree to receive up to five text notifications regarding their delivery status. The Domino’s tracker will also let customers see the delivery driver’s GPS location and estimated arrival time. Once the driver is nearby, they can activate a visual signal on their phone to help the driver locate them.

“Domino’s is proud to be the first quick-service restaurant brand in the U.S. to deliver food to customers with the drop of a pin,” said Christopher Thomas-Moore, Domino’s senior vice president and chief digital officer. “We’re always striving to make customers’ experiences even better and more convenient, and Domino’s Pinpoint Delivery does exactly that.
