Dior’s Olivier Bialobos Appointed Deputy Managing Director — Retail Bum

Luxury fashion brand Dior has promoted communications chief Olivier Bialobos to deputy managing director.

In his role, Bialobos will be responsible for global communications and image across Christian Dior Couture and Parfums Christian Dior. He will also continue his work as the director of Dior’s homeware division.

During his 17 years long tenure with Dior, he has guided the development of Dior Héritage, an archive of Dior’s previous works that have helped the brand stay true to its heritage and aesthetic and has become the basis of Galerie Dior. He has also helped the brand launch its in-house publication, Dior Magazine, and led the Dior Maison business unit for five years, handling state and royal dinners, as well as collaborations with Philippe Starck.

Dior’s new CEO, Delphine Arnault, said in a statement that she was “delighted to be able to rely on Olivier’s great talent, expertise and commitment to accompany the house of Dior and its development in the coming years.”

His appointment comes as part of a wider leadership reshuffle at LVMH, Dior’s parent company, after Pietro Beccari was named CEO of Louis Vuitton. Arnault was subsequently appointed CEO of Christian Dior Couture, while Charles Delapalme became managing director. In addition…
