Dior Taps Denim Tears’ Tremaine Emory for Exclusive Fall Capsule — Retail Bum
Dior has announced a special capsule collection designed by Tremaine Emory, Denim Tears’s founder and creative director of Supreme.
The collection has been designed to serve as a crossover between streetwear and luxury. It will be revealed on December 2, 2022, at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which is set to open next year.
“This line celebrates the inventiveness of the house of Dior and the strength of its creative dialogues,” said the luxury fashion house in a statement.
Tremaine noted that the collection pays homage to Black artists like James Baldwin and Miles Davis, according to WWD.
The partnership follows Dior’s artistic director, Kim Jones’ previous collaboration with Eli Russell Linnetz for a menswear Spring 2023 capsule, which made its debut in a blue-clad Venice Beach show.
Additionally, the team-up builds upon the much anticipated Dior Fall 2023 menswear show, which is expected to take place in front of the Pyramids of Giza on December 3, 2022.
