Meal delivery service, Daily Harvest, has rolled out a new plant-based food service called Harvest Bakes, in response to a growing demand for ready-to-eat, at-home meals.

The company’s move to roll out the offering supports consumers’ ever-growing appetite for organic products, which has continued to trend upwards in recent years. The demand has, in particular, drastically surged since the start of the pandemic as consumers have become more focused on self-care, starting from what they eat to how they exercise.

“While the world continues to feel uncertain, we’re focused on helping customers take care of themselves with good food built on real fruits and vegetables,” said Rachel Drori, founder and CEO of Daily Harvest.

“With our new collection, we’re delivering the soul-satisfying dishes consumers crave in one easy step,” she added. “And unlike many convenient options out there, our food never includes harmful, hyper-processed and ultra-refined junk.”

Drori founded the company in 2016 with a mission to work with farmers and better support biodiversity and organic farming practices.

The new offering enables access to gourmet-style meals made with organic vegetables, legumes and whole grains. Customers can choose from one of these four dishes:

  • Cremini + Smoked Paprika Ropa Vieja
  • Chickpea + Coconut Curry
  • Gigante Bean + Artichoke Olio
  • Squash + Wild Rice Gratin

Harvest Bakes items are available on the Daily Harvest website for $11.99 each.
