CVS Health Announces Executive Shakeup — Retail Bum

CVS Health has announced the appointment of David Joyner as the executive vice president and president of pharmacy services and Amy Bricker as the executive vice president and chief product officer, consumer.

“David and Amy are accomplished leaders with proven track records of anticipating and meeting customer and client needs,” said CVS Health President and CEO Karen S. Lynch.

“David has deep experience in pharmacy benefit management that will help us deliver on our growth strategy for the business.”

Beginning January 30, 2023, Joyner will lead the pharmacy services segment, which provides solutions to employers, health plans, and government businesses and serves over 110 million members through CVS Caremark and CVS Specialty. He will be reporting directly to Lynch.

He brings more than 34 years of health care and pharmacy benefits management experience to the company and has previously worked at CVS Health.

Meanwhile, Bricker is set to join the company in February 2023 and will serve on the company’s executive leadership team, also reporting to Lynch. Bricker has nearly 20 years of diverse healthcare experience, most recently serving as the president of Express Scripts.

In her new role, Bricker is expected to focus on consumer products and innovation and lead the development of new products.
