Crate and Barrel has appointed former Nike executive Jason Booth as its new technology chief.

In his role, Booth will enhance the company’s customer experience by acquiring, developing, and implementing technology to improve the company’s customer experience. Booth will also focus on integrating eCommerce and in-store operations and modernizing the retailer’s supply chain.

“Hiring a leader in retail technology is key to delivering a modern, customer-focused experience,” said Crate and Barrel CEO Janet Hayes.

“We are excited to welcome Jason to the team; he shares our modern mindset of a customer-focused culture and provides solutions that connect people to our brands in order to create a home with purpose.”

Booth brings more than 25 years of experience in his new role, having most recently served as the vice president of technology at Nike.

Booth’s appointment follows several other leadership changes the company has made since the start of the pandemic. In July 2020, Crate and Barrel appointed Hayes as its new chief executive in place of Neela Montgomery.
