Coach Turns to Crowdsourcing Ideas on Slack for New Circular Brand — Retail Bum
The best ideas come from collaborating on Slack channels — that is Coach’s philosophy for its new “Coachtopia” brand.
Coachtopia, which has been built with a focus on circularity, aims to foster collaboration with shoppers by actively considering their unique perspectives and design ideas when developing products such as shoes and handbags.
The brand plans to crowdsource these ideas on Slack channels, where a community of hundreds of Gen Z customers can collaborate on products, participate in content and campaigns, and help shape the brand’s future.
In addition to taking a collaborative approach to product development, Coachtopia also embraces Made Circular design philosophy, which influences its approach to product design, crafting, and recycling.
Coach stated in a press release that the concept aims to transform the product lifecycle by minimizing the need for new materials through utilizing waste materials and producing products that can be repurposed and recycled.
