Carhartt Launches Resale Platform and Trade-In Program — Retail Bum
Premium workwear brand Carhartt has teamed up with Trove to launch a resale program called Carhartt Reworked.
The launch of the program is the latest step in Carhartt’s sustainability mission, which is focused on creating a circular recommerce model that extends the life of its workwear and reduces clothing waste by keeping previously worn and slightly imperfect gear out of landfills.
“Carhartt Reworked is an extension of our commitment to deliver the durability and reliability that hardworking people know and love while reducing our environmental footprint,” said Gretchen R. Valade, director of sustainability at Carhartt.
“With the help of Trove’s expertise in circular business and recommerce, we’re able to keep Carhartt products in use longer, out of landfills, and in the hands of people who need it.”
Reworked products are now available for purchase at reworked.carhartt.com, and participating Carhartt retail stores are accepting in-store trade-ins of products.
Traded-in products must be less than 10 years old, have had an original MSRP cost of $50 or more, and must meet condition standards. The product categories include outerwear, shirt jackets, bibs and overalls, hoodies, sweatshirts and pants.
