Balenciaga Showcases Its SS22 Collection With ‘The Simpsons’

Balenciaga collaborated with the creators of The Simpsons to showcase a one-off episode for its latest Spring/Summer 2022 collection at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris last night.

In the episode, Homer Simpson is seen trying to persuade Demna Gvasalia, Balenciaga’s creative director, to loan a gown to Marge for her birthday. Gvasalia ultimately pities Marge and not only sends her a gown but also flies the entire town of Springfield to be in the Balenciaga show. Vogue editor Anna Wintour along with notable Simpson characters such as Mo, the bartender, Chief Wiggum and Smithers, all make an appearance and are featured in previous Balenciaga looks.

In addition to the clip, celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Elliot Page, Isabelle Huppert, Cardi B, Offset, Lewis Hamilton and Juergen Teller arrived on the red carpet wearing clothing designed by Balenciaga.
