Apple is looking to improve the last-mile delivery experience of its customers by offering in-store shoppers access to home delivery service.

Reports indicate that the company is developing a novel delivery method called “EasyPay Online Ordering,” which would allow customers to make purchases in-store and conveniently have their products delivered directly to their homes or offices.

The EasyPay Online Ordering initiative is set to launch at the company’s retail stores this August, according to Bloomberg.

Previously, store employees were limited to suggesting online purchases or helping customers place orders on the website. However, with the launch of the service, customers making in-store purchases will have the added convenience of selecting home delivery. To facilitate the purchase, store employees will use Apple’s EasyPay point-of-sale machines to promptly ship the chosen products to the customer’s preferred location within a few days, eliminating the need for customers to visit the website separately to access this service.
