AMIRI Appoints Former Burberry Exec as New CEO — Retail Bum
Luxury fashion line AMIRI appointed Adrian Ward-Rees as its new chief executive.
Ward-Rees, who previously served as senior vice president at Burberry and managing director at Dior Homme, brings over 30 years of experience in the fashion and luxury goods sector.
Prior to the Ward-Rees’ appointment, Mike Amiri, the namesake designer of the nine-year-old brand, served as the chief executive and creative officer.
Beginning April 1, 2023, Ward-Rees will assume all duties as CEO and is expected to drive growth for the AMIRI label, building both its retail presence and categories while Mike Amir focuses on his role as creative director, developing the company’s accessories and women’s wear business while exploring new categories.
Today, AMIRI’s men’s luxury pieces, which include jeans, tie-dye sweatpants, and hoodies, retail for prices ranging from $850 to $1,190, while its women’s T-shirts, cargo pants, and sweaters range from $350 to $1,390.
Since its launch, AMIRI has expanded its physical footprint worldwide, including a flagship store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and eight other retail stores, one of which is a 3,555-square-foot store that can be found in The Dubai Mall.
