Alexander Wang To Host First Runway Show Since May 2019

Alexander Wang’s next show will be held on April 19, 2022, in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, the brand took to Instagram to make the announcement and noted that the show will be “a multi-layered event and runway show celebrating Asian American culture, food and music.”

While Alexander Wang has been known to show collections outside of the New York Fashion Week schedule and has done so since 2018, the brand’s namesake designer has been seemingly quiet since 2021, when he was accused of sexual assault.

“Over the last few days I have been on the receiving end of baseless and grotesquely false accusations. These claims have been wrongly amplified by social media accounts infamous for posting defamatory material from undisclosed and/or anonymous sources with zero evidence or any fact-checking whatsoever. Seeing these lies about me being perpetuated as truths has been infuriating. I have never engaged in the atrocious behavior described and would never conduct myself in the manner that’s been alleged. I intend to get to the bottom of this and hold accountable whoever is responsible for originating these claims and viciously spreading them online,” said Alexander Wang in the statement.

Wang then released a statement pledging to “do better” after at least ten accusers retained the counsel of attorney Lisa Bloom. No charges against Wang have been made at this time.

It appears now that Wang is ready to make his return.
