Adidas To Hire 2,800+ Employees In 2022
Picture riding your bike in the morning to work. Better yet, imagine watching the German national football team train during a typical workday or even working out during lunch break and gamble against a Real Madrid star on the Playstation in the afternoon. That is Adidas’ pitch to attract fresh talent for its more than 2,800 open positions in 2022.
The sportswear brand is planning to hire across digital, IT and data & analytics in 307 locations, with 800 positions in Germany. Additionally, it plans to hire more than 900 workers to staff its retail store locations.
To improve its appeal, Adidas is planning to award more than 50 positions for apprenticeships or dual studies in Germany. It is also promising a more casual office culture across its offices in 47 countries, allowing employees to dress in casual or sporty looks.
As part of its culture-building efforts, the company is looking to have 40 percent women employees in leadership roles by 2025, up from 35% currently.
“We want to set standards as an employer. Adidas is an employer like no other, and we go above and beyond every day to create an attractive working environment for our employees. Adidas is fantastic, and I can only encourage those interested to apply,” said Adidas Executive Board Member Amanda Rajkumar, who oversees human resources, people and culture.
Adidas’ hiring spree comes at a time when its subsidiary Reebok, which is being sold to Authentic Brands Group, is planning to lay off approximately 150 employees as its sale is expected to close by February 28, 2022.
