7-Eleven Teams Up With Minibar To Pilot Alcohol Delivery

Consumers have come to enjoy the ease and convenience of getting alcohol delivered over the course of the last 18 months and many refuse to go back to their old ways of buying booze. This is a trend 7-Eleven is looking to capitalize on with the launch of a pilot program that will enable shoppers to buy beer, wine, and even Slurpees and snacks delivered to their doorsteps in an hour or less.

The company is partnering with Minibar Delivery, an alcohol delivery marketplace, to enable shoppers in Florida, Texas and Virginia to order beer and wine delivery from 600 store locations. Additionally, shoppers will be able to order snacks such as hot dogs, pizza and chips.

The company plans to extend the delivery service to other markets later this year. Some of the major cities where the service is currently being made available include Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers, and Miami in Florida; San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, and Fort Worth in Texas, and Virginia Beach, Richmond, Norfolk, and Alexandria in Virginia.

Consumers living in these cities can order alcohol delivery from their local 7-Eleven through the Minibar delivery app or online on the Minibar website.
